Kriger is an angel. She is also Darris' "guardian angel" which is practically an oxymoron. Templar and those akin, are not supposed to have guardian angels since they are somewhat guardian angels themselves. Yet,. for reasons unknown, there she is.

Specifically speaking, there is only so much information Darris has on Kriger, or any angel for that matter. Other than the fact that she is the angel that removed him from the institution at the beginning of his ascension, there's not much more he could confidently divulge on the subject. What he could say about her is that she's saved him from several close calls but not one of them were life threatening (nothing could be technically "life threatening" to a Templar accredited to being immortal). However, Darris does view her assistance as invaluable because she has provided him with difficult-to-obtain information on demanding missions.

Although Templar can sense (and easily view) wandering souls, spirits, or the like, Kriger's presence is the only angel Darris can sense. Yet, he is the only Templar able to sense her and when attempting to describe events to his peers that involve Kriger, his audience will lose interest, regard Kriger as imaginary, and discount his report.
